What is the difference between File System Security vs Section Access?

  • What is the difference between File System Security vs Section Access?

Hi

Qlikview have differents level of security, File system and Section acces are two differents level of security in qlikview.

File system security is at the document level; you can authorize a user  or group to access the whole doc.

Section access works  inside the document, with section access you authorize the user at the row level, at the detail of the information.

Thanks but in the attcjed doc it only contains section access info.

If i have to attain file level security, then how can i acheive that?

Qlikview can apply row level security and document access control with section access, as described in the above documents.

File system access control is via the Windows File System.

Qlikview respects the file system access and, if you use Active Directory, then Qv will only display qvw documents on the portal to which the user has access.

Google Active Directory (AD) if you need more information about AD.
