What is the meaning of Custom Data sources and Conector in QV

Please explain me in detail , i have already read it from book but i am not able to understand please tell me in very simple way .

Hi,

Custom Data Sources are for example Salesforce, Sharepoint, SAP etc. To retrieve data from this databases Connectors are used in Qlikview application.  For Salesforce there is a connector, you need to install and use this connection like you do for ODBC. All this applications stores data in different format, so you have separate connector to connect and fetch data from this datasources.  You can also create your own connectors.

You can search in community for connectors and examples of ways to connect to different data sources.
