So I'm trying to look for the reference manual and am behind a corporate firewall. Can't download the .exe and extract myself. The manaul doesn't seem to have been installed locally either.
Why isn't there just a link to download the manual anywhere?
Thanks
Martin
Hello Martin,
The Reference manual is actually installed locally but the folder is hidden.
On Windows explorer go to> Folder and search options > View > Show hidden files, folders and drives
Then try: C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\QlikView Documentation\Reference Manual
Have a great day!
Hi,
A good place to search those manuals is the 'Resources' in the opening screen of the forum.
There I found a manual with the searchstring 'Reference Manual' (Qlikview reference manual)
As you can see over there, there are to many manuals to link to
PS: Thanks shivaji ch

Check the site
Thanks for the tip, Paul. Works fine to me.
Hi guys, and thanks for your feedback. We recognize the issue with finding a specific PDF in the current bundle of files into one EXE. While I don't have a solution to present right here and now, there is an ongoing project to investigate how we can extract the most important PDFs and present on our download site for easier access, without making it too cluttered. I hope to be able to get back to you within a few weeks with some update. If you are using the link provided in the thread, please do check you are getting the correct/latest version.

I actually spent quite some time 'checking the site' and found it challenging to find the documentation.
I find it odd to take this kind of 'blame the user' approach to solving a problem. Furthermore, why bother even responding if you're not interested in helping to solve the issue?
Is there a downloads tab? No
Is there a documentation tab? No
This is a usability issue which can readily be solved, this is much more likely to benefit more users than 'check the site'.
That was extremely helpful and I was able to opent the file from there. I did check the actual program file directory and didn't find it there, didn't realise there was another source.
Great, thanks for taking the time to reply and look at this.
Hi,
I wil follow Christian and wait a few weeks to get to the correct and latest one. That was very helpful.
PS: If you don't have a QlickView-server I don't think there is this map mentioned by Alberto !
