closing stock not coming for period wise selection

Dear All

i have a bar chart dimension as period that is April, may,like that and expression as closing stock expression

when i select a particular period means the value is coming only for that particular period wise transaction only it is not picking as of the closing stock value

Example

period 2 closing stock value : 12978

period 2 transaction value     : 555

when i select period 2 means it want to show the closing value of p2 that is 12978 but it shows 555

this is my issue please provide your advise.

here is that expression

sum({<FYYear=,Period=,PostingDate={"<=$(}Quantity)

vInvDate2=date(max([Posting Date]),'MM/DD/YYYY')
