Hello,
Can anyone tell if the perfomance of a qlikview application depends on the number of objects, provided that all objects are minimized, i.e. not recalculated while browsing tabs.
thanks in advance.
minimized charts should not be calculated
Only objects on the current sheet will be recalculated. Their content (expressions and data volume) will impact performance.
Objects on a specific sheet may block your entire document (for example through bad associations) but won't as long as you don't visit that particular sheet.
yes but does calculation time of a maximized chart depend on the number of chart that exist at all, even though minimized?
Thanks Peter, so will the performance of a spherical horse in vacuum an app with a thousand minimized objects and one active object be the same as performance of an app that contains only that active object alone?
No.
For the simple reason that any expression in the caption will always be recalculated, whether your thousand objects (large vacuum - do they fit?) are minimized or not.
Yes,ur right.
