You're trying to connect to a server running on the same machine (localhost) and there's no response (do you have the QlikView Server and client on the same machine?). Client will then try to switch to tunneling using http, but fails.
If this happens directly when you go to File -> Open in Server... (before even selecting a server), Try holding <Shift> at the same time as you select Open in Server... This will prevent QlikView from automatically trying to connect to the last known server.
