filter join question

we have table A and table B joined on key

what we want to do is use table A to filter data and then

to be able to filter on the result set in table B based on

separate attributes of table B without affecting results in table A

is there a way to do that in QlikView ???

It sounds like the "Loosely Coupled" tables functionality, however that is such a shaky ground, that I'd rather recommend using Set Analysis to disregard certain filters in certain expressions.
