getting data from selected Month Year to Year End

I am new to QlikView. I have a situation as below. Please provide your suggestion and help.

I have some data from 2006 to 2010 for sales.

In my dashboard, I have only [Month Year] filter and a bar chart to display the data. I have to use the dimension-- [Month Year].

I have created a field independent of data set as [Month Year] which has month and year in the "MMM-YYYY" format. I need to select from [Month Year] field and I have to represent the number of products sold from selected month year to the year-end of the same year in the chart. For Ex. if I select May-2008 I have to get the number of products sold from May-2008 to Dec-2008. My requirement is to use triggers to filter the data and have to use set analysis.

I have tried using set analysis for the month and year fields separately but I need to use the independent field.
