how to change layout properties of all sheets in all documents all at once

Hi dudes,

I have qlik view document which has many sheets[some sheets are hidden]. In each sheet, there are around 35 objects; for all the objects in all sheets, i have to change layout property i.e allow copy/clone option.

Instead of manually going to each sheet and each object; is there any feasible way

i think u didnt get me.

my problem is when i modify sheet properties i.e i checked allow copy/clone, and i went to an object in  the same sheet its allow copy/clone is unchecked and as u said it may not show change in check box; i tried to copy/clone bt it is not allowing....

in sheet properties i even selected to apply all sheets and saved dashboard n opened it; but the result is same

Hi,

I think you also need to select Add Sheet Objects in

sheet->properties->security->Add Sheet Objects

     then check 'Apply to All Sheets'

Then only you can able to copy or clone an object.

No, even now it did not work.

actually there is 1 object say suppose list box. I changed list box property such tat it can b copied.

in sheet properties i made all objects such tat they cant b copied.

now i moved bak to tatt very listbox n tried 2 copy; it is getting copied.

and r u frm andhra?

Hi,

I think this will help you,

- Go to View , Click on design grid.

- Now Select all the Objects in the sheet.

- Right Click and Go to Properties

- Go to Layout Tab and Check on the Allow Copy/clone option.

in design view, we have to cntrl+a and right clik, we get general,fields,objects,security...

in security..we can make changes it will effect all objects in sheet

but wat about all objects in all sheets.....let me know if u r aware of any other way rather than doing above process manually.
