how to convert personal to license edition?

Hi,

If you have qlikview server, then you can lease license from server.

If you dont have qlikview server, then need to enter desktop license information which you got from qlik.

Enter License key in Desktop version without Server installed

In QV 11 or latest version you can lease license from the Qv Server in your environment just connect QV desktop as Open in Server option then you get lease a license from  the Qv Server.

Their are two options to convert your personal edition to license version, listed below

1. Desktop License

     Go to user preferences and apply the license i.e. license key and control number along with organizational details details as per screen shot below :

2. Get a named CAL assigned (through QMC) to your name and lease the same using personal edition

     Go to Open in server under file option and below window will appear

Use NT Identity or Alternate identity for which you have to type domain\User Name and post that click on connect and enter your domain password.

Once you enter the password license will get leased and your personal edition will be now license version.
