As TB Said, Which island table is UN-associated table.

As Example

T1:

Load * T1;

NoConcatenate

T2:

Load * T2;

And then check DM by using Ctrl + T (Here, You may check those two directories are assiciative or not)

The Table which is not connected with any other table in Qlikview data modeling,That will call it as a...data island,

Suppose,

if we have a..some tables(dimension tables)..surrounded with order table(fact table) as like below,Soap Datamodel.png

from this...,

soap details table and city tables are connected with orders table....means...these tables are having relationship with order table.

but region table is not connected with any of the table.because it don't have any link filed to connect with any other tables.

here region table is the island

Hi Siva,

As you can see from following tables where you can not see any common key and if same you will add in big data model and one of this table will not have common key then this table will be considered as island table.

Example:-

t1:

00.0120
0.0120.03471
0.03470.10962
0.10960.30343

0.63011.51155
1.51153.48736
3.487312.96167
12.96161018

So say you have to join the Island Table to the Fact Table, how would you accomplish it. Thank you.

It will be an auto crossjoin, exploding in nature.
