marge tow date dimensions to one

Hi all,

i'm working on a qlikview project, for support center analisys.

my main entity is a "call", each call has "opening date", "closing date".

we need to marge the 2 dimensions (opening date/closing date) into one, which will alow making one selection to one date field, and affacting the 2 different fields.

Can you post an example? Also do not understand the purpose of the merging.
