memory problems in server

good afternoon community

I have a question and would like to help me resolve I have an application that climbed to a server I had not generated any problems until Friday I no longer allowed to open ...

the mistake jumping me is that the application is consuming all memory on the server ...

My questions are as follows

1. that consumes 64GB of memory if when I enter wing RAM server consumes only 8gb

2. This consumption has to do with how heavy my application

Need more details on what you are using and doing exactly:

What is the size of the QVW your are opening ?

How many users are opening the same document ?

QV server version ?

Windows 32/64bits ?

Are you using publisher on the same server?

What is the action that make your server consumes max memory?

There are lots of reasons even a small application could use too much memory.

One such is if you have a data island and bring data from the data island table into a chart along with another table.  If the tables are not joined it will use a ton of memory as well as produce bad results.
