Hi Sowmamadou,

Right Clight on QV Document -> Properties -> Security -> check Move/Size Sheet Objects.

If you are using multiple sheets, check Apply to All Sheets.

One more option would be to right click on the list box and check in the Layout tab -> Allow Move/Size.

Thanks,

Sai Krishna

Hi,

I am also facing the same issue. I am able to resize, minimize objects, move objects with CNTRL+(Up,Down,Left,Right) or using CNTRL+SHIFT+(Up,Down,Left,Right) but i am not able to move the objects using my mouse.

QV Document -> Document Properties -> Layout -> Allow Move/Size and Object -> Layout -> Move/Size Sheet Objects is also checked. I am unable to work properly since all i can use is CNTRL+SHIFT+Arrows to move objects and it is very tedious and not useful when i have to complete my work quickly.

I had the Document properties ->Security ->Admin Security Override property checked and unchecked. But the objects dont move whether it is checked or unchecked.

Please let me know in case there are any other options that i can try.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Naveen,

There are some other ways that you find a similar situation:

1) Document level (as you mentioned above)

2) Sheet level -> Right Click on sheet -> Security -> Allow/Move sheet objects -> Apply to all sheets.

In this case as well the objects are disabled.

3) Object level -> Right click on object and go to Layout tab, check for the same option.

Sometimes, the changes may not reflect in the same session so better close the document and try to open new instance of qlikview.

Hope this helps!

Thanks,

Sai

Hi All,

I am using version 11.20 and, guess what,  from one day to another I got hit with this strage problem.

I know I have not change any QlikView settings but I check them anyway; they were setup correctly; however, I was not able to move any object on my document. I copy the document to another PC with QlikView and it work OK.

I resolved this issue by Uninstalling QlikView, Rebooting  PC and then Reinstalling QlikView client 11.20 on my desktop. (I tried the repair from the installation setup but that did not work).

I still don't know what could have cause this problem, apparently, it is a combination of things or just another undocumented QlikView bug....

Document Properties --> Security --> Admin Override Security --> check

--> OK

In my case I had security (Section Access) acitvated on the document and I needed to logon as ADMIN. My NT Account was in the list, so there was a logon as USER.

In case there's anyone still having this problem, make sure you check the Sheet as well as the Document Properties.

I was puzzling over this as the Settings > Document Properties > Layout > Allow Move/Size Objects was checked. Then when I checked the individual sheet I was working on the Sheet Properties > Security > Move/Size Objects was unchecked.

It seems individual Sheet security settings override Document properties.
