out of memory for end users

Hi!

One of the end user of an application keeps getting the error message "out of memory..." when trying to export a number of rows from a table. His workstation has 8G RAM and he runs the application with IE plugin.

When i do this extract on my workstation (i have the same RAM as him) i have no problem at all.

What could be the problem here?

hi As of my knowledge, this type of err coming due to unavailability of needed virtual memory.

try to adjust the virtual memory setting of ur pc.

and also do some settings in your qlikview file also. this may helps u

go to settings menu -> UserPreferences -> Objects tab

in this do uncheck the Ingnore calculation limit check box and update Calculated Formulas Max Memory as 2.0 MB.

then it may not give such type of error.

Hi,

I'm at the object sheet now in settings and i don't see the box to un-check. I do see the "calculated formulas" and the max memory but that one is grayed out and i can't change that value (which is 0.0). i guess this is where i'm suppose to change the 0.0 to 2.0.
