qlikview extensions

hi ,

I'm using personal version of qlikview12 . I was trying to create new extensions. but am not able to find extension folder in the location where it should be "C:\Users\[uaser name]\AppData\Local\QlikTech\QlikView\Extensions\"

even if I don't have licensed version but the extension folder should be there right ????

can anybody help?

Hi,

see if  you can find the extension in the below path.

c:\Program Files\QlikView\Examples\Extensions

Create it manually, or better double-click a QAR file to let QV Desktop install an extension for you. You can use the examples from the default installation directory.

hi peter , when I create manually its not able to read it .

btw I am trying to create a customized extension object

But you can install the QAR file from the Examples folder. Please do so and check them out. They will teach you how to create your own.

Extensions do work for PE-mode users as well (screenshot from 11.20 but IMHO that hasn't changed in 12.00).

You probably did something wrong in your setup files or in the javascript code. Check out the example extensions and any extensions you can find that are comparable to the one you want to create.
