"Failed to open document, You don't have access to this document"

Hi,

Everyday while pasting updated Sample.qvw into access point folder , after that if every one try to open the Sample.qvw in access point it shows

"Failed to open document, You don't have access to this document"

and this error coming for only this application only .

Temp solution:

if restarting the qlikview distribution service its working fine.

Any Permanent solution?

Please check with your session access code. otherwise please distribute application again in qmc.

Once you update any changes for the dashboard, please reload the document once and then deploy the app to the server this should resolve the issue

Hi Sri,

Hope your file has some security or applied some security in QMC.

Once place the latest file in Access point, you need to reload the file for distribute that file to all the user.

Hi All ,

The same application in different name that is working properly,

Section access working properly,

this problem happening last few days only .,

(problem could be this application locked by some qlikview services)

After restarting the distribution service its working fine.

Please advice further....

if that is the case ask your ADMIN to identify the process which is locking the QVW file and kill that process ...check with your qv admins once

Hi All,

Once again..

My problem in Detail:

1.The Sample.qvw is my original document

2.We are refreshing the document daily basis

3.we are renaming the app sample.qvw as Sample_1.qvw and Sample_2.qvw

4.And pasting the both document in to source folder(Root folder)

5.both were working fine past days

6.And always no problem in Sample_2.qvw document while accessing in accesspoint

7. One day i got sharing violation for replacing the Sample_1.qvw in root folder and restarting the QVS services i am able to replace.

After that whenever i had replaced the Sample_1.qvw in root folder ,

i am getting the error "Failed to Open document. You don't have access to this document" while accessing in access point.

after restarting the QVS services its working fine.

9. every day while replacing the document i am restarting the QVS services.

10. but still no problem in Sample_2.qvw document

please guide me to fix this issue permenantly.

before replacing the document did you reload the file and then replaced in the server ?? or you just pasted the qvw ??

try to reload the document before placing in the server and check once
