qvd format changed?

Hi folks,

My qvd format got changed to note pad format ?

how to get back to qvd format without uninstalling qlikview?

even i am trying to create new qvd's but still those qvd's are generating in note pad doc format only

pls advice me

Do you mean that when you try to open the qvd it opens in a note pad?

earlier i have changed the format to note pad.

now i am unble to get back to qvd format

even i am generating new qvd's also storing in note pad format

Can you post some screenshots to help clarify your question?

Are you passing (qvd) as parameter when storing qvd´s?

STORE yourtable into file.qvd(qvd);

If you don´t use it, a flat file will be generated

Hi rob,

good to see u here

i have one qvd called budget.qvd , simply i changed the format of the qvd means i have opened that qvd with notepad.

after that i am trying to get back to qvd format but i was unlucky ,

even i am generating qvd's again those qvd's are storing note pad format only 

how to get back to qvd format ?

i will attach screen shot in next reply

  • Open with...
  • Select QlikView
  • Check "Always use this program..."
