reload via batch file

Hi,

I am trying to reload a qlikview doc via a batch file.

To do this, I created another doc with a button , which on clicking will trigger the batch file.

But, when I try to run it on the server via Internet Explorer, it gives me access denied error message.

What should I do ?

Thanks and Regards,

Anju

Hi,

I changed it.But, when I close and open it again, it again goes back to 'Safe Mode'.

How do I solve this?

Hi Niranjan,

Thanks for replying. I managed to set both modes to 'Allow System Access'. But, it still gives me the same error.

Do I have to disable some firewalls? I googled it. Will it be solved if I add the user to 'Security' tab of cmd.exe file

in '%windir%\System32' folder? I don't have the permission to do it...So, I am waiting to try out that option..

Hi Sampath,

But, I don't think that will be visible to the client. They wan't this option to be integrated into the report itself.

Somebody recently suggested that I could develop a document manager that gives user access to that particular tab by which he can reload the doc.But , i haven't done that before. Does anybody have any manual on that or for edx?

Kindly reply,

Hi Niranjan,

that works when we do it on the desktop..but it doesn't work when we do it via accespoint.  I tried that.

The simplest method I found on the community is via  a batch file. I tried out edx, but it did not work as expected.
