time

how to count time? I've a turntable with the expression sum (time)

value 01:00 + 04:00 results in 05:00 = oke

value 10:00 + 20:00 results in 06:00 = not oke must be 30:00

what parameters do i have to set to get this right

in excel i use [hh]:mm but that does not work in QV

Hi Ed,

please look into interval() function, which will format your resulting time period as wanted.

(Use HELP F1 for details and take a look into format codes as well).

Hi,

Your expression is correct.

I hope currently the number has just "mm:ss". Try to add "h". If your format is like "h:mm:ss",

then you can change in the number format for the expression.

Hence you get the desired result.

Hi Ed,

Try this function:

INTERVAL(T1+T2+T3,'hh:mm') ==> Where T1,T2,T3 is your time field.

Or

INTERVAL('01:00'+'02:00','hh:mm')
