Hi.

we assign year flag , quarter flag.

what is the use

for example in your expressions if you wanted to calculate CY YTD ( Year to date ) compared to that of PY YTD( Previous year Year to date ) . Similarly QTD/PQTD, Then Year flags are much helpful. they can be used in set analysis to get the right numbers.
