There are so many things to say on QlikView but to make it shortly QlikView is a very powerfull reporting tool.
You can upload datas from many different sources (Excel, Access, Databases, SAP,...) in one application and analyse them.
It includes a kind of ETL that let you work on your datas before loading.
The datas are loaded in-memory (kind of datamart) so the responce time is very short on the UI.
So with QlikView you have a ETL, Datamart and reporting included in one tool.
This is just a very short explication about QlikView, you should check some videos on youtube, you'll understand immediatly.
