Variables and Measures in QlikSense

Hello

I'm QlikView developer and now moved to QlikSense

I was wondering about the difference between Variables and Measures in QlikSense; can someone explain the difference?

In QlikView I used to create variables in the Variable Overview with equal sign at the beginning of the definition or without the equal sign

How can I accomplish this in Qlik Sense?

Measures are what are called expressions in Qlikview. In a Qlikview chart you have Dimensions and expressions. In a Qlik Sense chart you have Dimensions and Measures. Variables are variables in both Qlikview and Qlik Sense. They can be defined in the Script Editor in Qlikview and the Data load editor in Qlik Sense. In Qlikview you can also create variables in the Variable Overview. In Qlik Sense you find the Variable editor at the bottom of the screen in Edit mode:
