Extension objects

I don't have the extension or object folders in my qlikview installation.  Do i just create the folder system myself?  I'm running the personal edition.  I recently downloaded the software so I'm running a pretty new version.

I'm really looking forward to utilizing my web development skills in qlikview.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Mike,

with installation of QlikView Desktop application came extension example. You can find it using file finder, under default folder path C://Program Files/Qlikview/examples/extensions. Just double click on the qar file there and the extension will be placed under the path that you mentioned in the first post.

Thank you Kruno.  I'm guessing I follow the same process if I want to develop documents too?

C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\QlikTech\QlikView\Extensions\Document

--this currently is missing too

Dear Mike,

You have not need to create any extension folder by yourself.

Go to > C:\Program Files\QlikView\Examples\Extensions

Double Click > Extension Examples.qar

Now extension with all necessary components are installed.

Go to and check extension folder here > C:\Users\[your user name here]\AppData\Local\QlikTech\QlikView

Kind regards,

Hi,

Maybe the folder is just hidden, check it after you have changed settings in Control Panel>Folder Options>View>Hidden File and Folders.
