Is it possible to call a macro from an extension

Before I spend some time building something, I thought I would just check if anyone knows if this is actually possible:

- If I write a QV macro to insert some data into the data model using dynamic update, can an extension object call that macro?

- Or are the QV Macros (and subsequently the relevant APIs accessible by macros) unable to be accessed by extension objects?
