Add blank/white box

How can I add a blank/white box to my page

When I try and insert a custom object, it stays grey, even when i try and change the colour settings. I just need to make it white or 100% transparent but cannot work out how to do this

In the General tab of your Text Object, you can change the Background color setting. It works for me...

A custom object is a different thing - it sounds like you just need a text box with nothing in it...
