Can Cognos or SAP Solution Manager read QVD Files?

Is there anyway to read QVD Files using Cognos or SAP Solution Manager or SAP Bussiness Objects?

QVD is Qlik's propietory format. Cognos or any other solution would not officially be able to read it.

Do QlikView supports any 3rd Party Reporting Tools?We want to use Cognos and SAP Bussiness Objects reporting tools on top of Qlikview  data  warehouse.

Hi,

QlikView has its own Data Integrator tool called Expressor.

Qvd can be read by Expressor and can be saved to any data-warehouse or databases.

AFAIK, no. But it's a bit strange requirement. If you have qv why would you need another BI tool specially on top of it ?

No.. Not possible..There is no connector or api's available...

Hi Prabhakar,

I think it is not possible to read QVD files from any other tools other than Qlikview, but there is another format QVX which Qlikview provides for third Party tools to generate this QVX files for Qlikview, and qlikview can read this format, I am not sure whether QVX files are read by Cognos or SAP.  Usually QVX files are generated from Informatica, Expressor etc.

Instead of QVD files why can't you change the files to CSV?
