Could not Touch Target File

We have QLikview publisher and now it appears that after some time our schedule reloads are failing with the following error. We are running on Windows server 2012. I have verified that the service account has access to write in any folder on the machine that it would care to. I receive the following in the logfile

Any help would be appreciated. If it is not using the service account how can I determine what account it is using when running a reload?

ok after some further research I have discovered the following.

When running the desktop app on the server using the service account or any other admin account the reload function for any of the documents is greyed-out.

When I follow the following article and create a document the reload function is present and works in the desktop app.

I believe that if I can get the reload function to work in the desktop app my problem will be resolved.

What can cause the reload function to be greyed-out on the desktop app?

In document properties, check the 'Security' tab and ensure that 'Reload' and 'Allow User Reload' is ticked..

Are you using the 'open in server' option or are you opening the QVW normally i.e. File>Open?

using the open in server option and the reload option is greyed-out when I open normally it is not and I can do everything you have asked.

If I was to run a repair on Qlikview server will it break anything. I also realize that the latest version is available but I am not sure I want to update at the moment.

Thats why, you cant perform a reload, edit script  or save when you 'open in server'.

When you open in server its acting like a thin client not the full client (just like accesspoint but using the QV client).

To perform reloads, save and edit script you actually need to open the QVW normally by using File>>Open.

This obviously doesn't answer why you cant reload via QMC though

Publisher was working and running these before a month or so ago and then one day it just stopped.  We just do not know why this has happened and now we have to manually update these files and all scheduled reloads are not working receiving this error.

What about...

1. taking a copy of the QVW and setting up a reload schedule on that and attempting a reload?

2. Moving the QVW into a different folder-outside of the original mounted folder (and ensuring the permissions or correct on the new folder), mounting the folder in the QMC and setting up a schedule to it and testing.

if no.1 works then that says its an issue with the QVW and if no.2 works then that says its permissions on the original folder.

I am coming back to this as I have upgraded my server per Qlik Support however I still have the same problem. Does anyone have any more ideas. I have logged on with the service account that is running all of the services and have gone through all folders on the machine and checked the effective access and that account has all permissions.  I have reviewed GPO's , Removed Antivirus, saved a files in every folder on the machine using the Service account.

I am baffled at this point. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
