DIRECT QUERY ORACLE OLEDB CONNECTION AND SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

DEar Team,

I am getting connected with Oracle insome machine from Qlikview with below connection:

OLEDB CONNECT32 TO [Provider=MSDAORA.1;Password=ido;User ID=ido;Data Source="HOSTNAME/SERVICENAME"];

AND IN SOME MACHINE WITH ONLY:

OLEDB CONNECT32 TO [Provider=MSDAORA.1;Password=ido;User ID=ido;Data Source=""SERVICENAME""];

In client environment we are truing to generatereport WITH direct query.

Can you please advise what are the requirements to set up OLEDB CONNECTION SUCCESSFULLY and which string should I use?

Do we really nned to have ORACLE CLIENT ON QLIKVIEW SERVER MACHINE?

Please guide.

check ur ora.tns file is updated with ur oracle server data base details or not.

if required check ur system environment variable setup.

If you are having the Connection string in some machine and it's working fine then you can use the Direct Query in qlikview without need of oracle client.
