Exporting QV data to Excel

Hi fellow QV users.

We have been experiencing performance issues when users export their QV8.20 data to either Excel or text file - resulting in impatient users killing their session after several minutes of inactivity !

Data volumes are in the region of approx. 10,000 rows x 100 columns for a month's data. Server is based in London ( a reasonable 32GB 8 processor box ), users may be global accessing reports via IE6 on their local PC.

Any thoughts / suggestions on how to improve or configure this would be appreciated.

KInd Regards, Andrew.
