Expression count by value

I have a column in chart named HMDAU, I want to count only all value begenning by 'EX******'

Someone have an idea how to do?

If in database in fields all values start with EX and you want to count then then use

=Count(if(left(HMDAU,2) = 'EX', HMDAU))

And gwassenaar give correct suggestion.

For your requirement you can use like this

HMDAU As dimension

Then count({<HMDAU={'EX*'}>}HMDAU) as Expression.. // For Count

or

MaxString({<HMDAU={'EX*'}>} HMDAU)  as expression. // For Value

In your case, try second solution
