Expression with YTD figures

Hi,

I have just started using Qlikview and have a question regarding an expression to get year to date figures.

For the column in question, if you select a year (Eg, 2014) and a month (Eg. 6), I need the the to show data for January to June of 2014.

The expressions I have tried are as follows:

sum({$<vAccPeriod = {>=$(vSelPeriodFrom)<=$(vSelPeriodTo)}>} [Paid])

sum({$<vAccPeriod = {<=$(vSelPeriodTo)+1}>} [Paid])

vAccPeriod is a combination of the Accounting Year and Month.

vSelPeriodFrom is the selected Year and Month.

vSelPeriodTo is the selected Year and month 01.

The above fields all display the expected values.

sum({$<vAccPeriod = {>=$(vSelPeriodFrom)<=$(vSelPeriodTo)}>} [Paid])

sum({$<vAccPeriod = {<=$(vSelPeriodTo)}>} [Paid])

sum({$<vAccPeriod = {<$(vSelPeriodTo)-1}>} [Paid])
