Getting current selection in excel export

hI,

i wantto export the objects in excel and i want selections made in the sheet should be displayed in excel

'For that i m doing the setting as Settings->User preference->Export Tab->check On BIFF Export

By doing this i m getting all other selctions except year nad month.

Can any one guide me why this is happening.....?
