Hash() vs Autonumberhash() which gives better performance ?

Hi All,

I am struggling with performance of one of my application where hash() function is used to generate linked keys..

Since Hash() function generate character string.. and Autonumberhash() generates integer values..

Will use of Autonumberhash() function improves performance a little bit ?

Any kind of input is highly appreciated.
