Sometimes listboxes can be quite long, with many similar items. Is there any way (perhaps by middle-button-click) to let a user 'tag' or mark a field without actually selecting? This sort of capability can be (occasionally) useful!
Do you mean you would like to select multiple, non-adjacent items? If so, cliking an item whilst holding the Ctrl key allows you to select a number of items in list boxes.
