How - and why and under what circumstances - does QV create variables?

Hi,

several times in the past I have experienced, but unfortunately not been able to identify how and why - QlikView creating 10.000 variables, each one with the variable_name being identical to its value (a number from 1 to 10.000).

Can anyone give me a hint as to why and under what circumstances qlikView would do that?

Hi DataNibbler,

I assume that loops in your script generates these variables - have a look in this similar posting:
