How to grant QlikView access to external users

I need to grant access to three users from consultant company to help us to do a QlikView Server upgrade. I have their company email and names, and I tried to add them into CALs, but it didn't work.

For example:

email: ANAME@company.com

In

Manual Input of User Names

I manually typed :  company\ANAME, then added into assigned CALs.

It depends on various factors if you may be able to give external users access to your network, server, data and the access point. It may need a lot of efforts and having one or the other side-effects. IMO better would be to give them a VPN access to your company environment and make them with it to internal users. For this you should involve all relevant business - IT + HR + the legal department and maybe others too.

Hi @chchen2019,

I agree with Marcus' excellent suggestion.  As QlikView relies on Windows for authentication by default, it would be difficult to configure a custom authentication solution for just three external users.
