How to use multiple dimensions dynamically in dynamic charts

We have implemented structure in our dashboard based on the blog given below:

We have one more requirement as we have to introduce Dimension 2 in pick dimensions and need to keep it optional. So if user wants to use 2 dimensions in chart they can use it or they can use only 1. How can we implement that?
