Hi Community,
We have a large user base. Each of the user has created bookmarks. The bookmark file size shoots up quite a lot.
When a user leaves the organization the bookmark stays and becomes obsolete.
Is there a default mechanism in place that can be used to remove leaver bookmarks in QlikView?
What happens to shared book marks?
Suppose X is a team lead who shared a bookmark with Y.
Y leaves the organization. Does this bookmark share contribute to the config file? Is the removal of this shared book mark for Y possible without disturbing anything else?
thanks,
Rajesh Vaswani
Note : We use custom authentication, an external application manages the user management.
As far as I know it's not possible to remove single objects from the .shared file: Re: Shared Objects - Bookmarks
Hi Gysbert,
From the QEMC though we can delete the bookmarks.
There is a server object handler, server object batch handler in the power tools that allows filtering and deleting the bookmarks.
thanks,

Hi Community,
Are there are inputs on this?
thanks,

Hi Rajesh,
There is no such automate way to delete objects.
I can think of using power tool or deleting objects from QEMC itself.
