Left Join in Load

Hi,

I have two tables that i want to join together while performing a calculation.

Table 1:

Record ID      Date               ItemID          Quantity     

1                    3/1/2012       A                  3

Table 2:

Effective Date     End Date     ItemID          Price

1/1/2012            12/31/2012     A               $10.00

Desired Result:

Record ID     Date               ItemID     Quantity      Charge (Price*Quality)

1                  3/1/2012            A          3               $30.00

How would I do this in a load statement?
