Limited User Access

Hi All,

I have a problem, how can I provide users to access only those qvw files which are usable for them?

I have no publisher license.

Please explain step by step.

All solutions are valuable for me.

Thanks,

Hi Shiva,

Sorry I have no idea about test server.

I have a server on which Qlikview tool is available. I created qvw files on them , save those files in Document folder (to publish files).

Users access these files using browser. All users have access to this server.

Thanks,

okie,no issue.

u can try simply,

u can provide access to any new user

1. Just assign the cal and ask him his able to see from AP and access ur app or not?

2. if his able to see means his having full/admin access of ur most system most of the cases,if his not able to see u have to provide the access from security tab.

it help to understand the above suggested concept.

Hi,

I agree with David's post to do folder level.  I don't have Publisher either and that is how I am set up.  I have folders that I set on the server and have a one to one qvw to folder and assign out the folder(s) to the users using the qmc.  I am a small shop currently so security is not yet a headache.

I go to documents and search for the users NT account and then add them over.  We do have AD Groups set for a few applications but is not yet a need to go that way fully.

Cheers,

Chris M.
