MonthStart to Today Date Logic

Hi All

I got a Solution for my Reuirement here:Monthstart of Every Month to Max Date of Current Month Comparison

But I need a Solution with with Set Analysis.

Front end or Back end Script if Possible.

I don't want to use Makedate() Function.

If I have to show data for All Years - including Current Year, Past Year, etc.

Any help would be Appreciated.
