hi James,

1. How to write a script? what is scripting language of Qlikview

In my opinion QlikView scripting language is proprietary, basically it very near to T-Sql of MS Sql Server, VB and Java script. How to wright a script is basically depends on your requirement and your understanding about your data source and how much you know about the QlikView scripting statements / commands.

Any one wright script about mainly data load in to QlikView and then transform the data. to get command on this you have to study QlikView scripting statements / commands from the QlikView help of Reference manual. you can download reference manuals from QlikView sites.

2. How to create effective dashboards

In my opinion this is an art work depends on requirements and your understanding towards the QlikView chart objects means for what you can utilized an object or in which condition you can use an object.

To understand it you can refer QlikView sample application "Data Sampler" or again QlikView reference manual

Hope it will help you

Hi James,

The QlikView reference manual is a good place to start.

There are also a selection of book for QlikView available on Amazon.

When you are happy with the basics of QlikView sites such as http://qlikshare.com/

are good for learning extra bits.

Good luck.

I also suggest Rob's Cook book:

You will find it here: http://robwunderlich.com/downloads/ ( QV Cookbook)
