ODBC configurable set up using DMS authentication

I am using DMS to control the file permission and users are using separated account to login(not the domain one).

How can I set up the ODBC configurable to use a database that is not Active Directory for storing and
maintaining the user database?

Does running  NTFS mode and  DMS use the same method to set up the configurable ODBC?
