Opening for Business Intelligence Analyst with Purolator Freight
· Develop, update and maintain the technical components of the Purolator Freight external web site. Work closely with the hosting vendor and other third party technical resources to support the site. Create new functionality within the site to enhance it and meet the business needs of Purolator Freight.
· Stay current on web technologies and trends in order to advise and recommend approaches for web site development. Take initiative and lead projects to ensure that Purolator Freight web site is continually being developed to meet its goals.
· BI/Web content and analyzing is a major area of this role
· Provide development support to other initiatives, such as graphic or marketing development needs
· Interview end-users to determine requirements for data, dashboards, ad-hoc reports, training, data quality and performance.
· Develop necessary dashboards and reports
Qualifications:
· 3+ years of experience with web technologies such as ASP.NET, Dreamweaver, Flash.
· Experience creating and implementing enterprise dashboards and reports using mainstream reporting and BI tools such as Business Objects, Cognos, or SQL Server Reporting Services. Good knowledge of QlikView BI application is a definite plus.
· Strong SQL database skills are a must. Knowledge of Progress database is a plus.
· Good knowledge of the .NET framework
· Familiar with the ITIL standards and Change Management concepts
Ability to balance solid strategic thinking and flawless execution in an extremely fast-paced environment
Excellent organization and project management skills, solid written and oral communication skills
Self-starter who is able to work independently
Bachelor's Degree
