Parameterized Variables?

Hello!

I wanted to know how do you parameterize variables in QlikView.

For example, if I have my app and I want to get a value from an Excel file (entered by user) and that value should update my app in the related fields.

What ways do you have to do this?

What do you mean exactely with 'that value should update my app'? Could you detail this workflow a bit, giving an example?

your requirement sounds like it has nothing to do at all with parameterized variables.

Parameterized variables can be used like this:

Your requirement would be something like a partial reload or a scheduled reload of an Excel file.

Hi, using partia reload you can reload the document in a buton, using qlikview triger or macro, but if its very dificult to use it in the web , if yours users are accesing via acces point

i recomend try to find other solution to the item that you have to solve.
