Partial Sums behavior in Pivot Table columns

Hi,

Using pivot table with dimensions - Customer, PayType, and expression - Amount

Is it correct that to get the Total per Customer, I have to check Show Partial Sums of PayType instead of the Customer? I tried checking the Customer but it shows total sum of all customers instead of per Customer.

I need a display like this (behavior when checking PayType dimensioin):

Customer    PayType     Amount

A                     Cash            1,0000

                        Card            2,0000

                       Total             3,0000

B                     Cash            4,0000

                        Cash            2,0000

                       Total             6,0000

Not this (behavior when checking Customer):

A                     Cash            1,0000

                        Card            2,0000

B                     Cash            4,0000

                        Cash            2,0000

Total                                    9,0000

At first, my understanding is that getting the Total per Customer, I have to check the Customer dimension but gives me the incorrect behavior.

@jessbanaga you need to select each field and check partial sum check box for each field. you will be able to see the partial sums for each field.
