Problems with Excel Export after upgrade to QV9

I recently upgraded QlikView to version 9, and since then we have been experiencing problems with Excel exports from the IE plugin client. It works well for small amounts of data, but at a certain level it stops working and the user gets an error message:

"sever communication lost, closing document!"

Anyone else had the same issue?
