QlikView.AccessPoint.User.ServiceAuthentication

Hello

I know this is a very simple question, but could anyone tell me what this statement does?:

QlikView.AccessPoint.User.ServiceAuthentication(context, customUserAuthentication.Prefix);

Does it add something to the context?
