QlikView ID/FID

Hello All,

Please let me know, where are the QlikView FID's / ID's used other than running QlikView Services. I am using QlikView Personal edition on Windows box. I have to reset the password for QlikView FID's so i want to check the impact before password reset.

What is a QlikView FID?

If you mean the account to run the services, this only applies if you have QlikView Server or Publisher installed. It does not affect to QlikView Desktop.

If you mean instead an account which also connects to data sources, you will need to update the DSNs in Windows (Windows > Run > odbcad32.exe)

FID - Functional ID, I mean QlikView account.

QlikView account will be used to configure third party tool like Autosys as well. Is that right?

I don't use Autosys, but whether or not they have to use the same account, that is your IT to decide.

QlikView service accounts are always Windows accounts, more often, and recommended, Active Directory (domain) accounts.
